I Think I Found The Problem
It's 4am and I'm researching LGBT Simpsons characters and episodes for an essay that I'm planning to write. An essay that I want to write for pleasure not for any class. Yes, that is definitely the (a) problem.
And please for the love of god don't Google Images "Simpsons" & "gay". (just click this handy link instead!)
ETA: Marge Simpson is going to be on the cover of Playboy. (they still publish that?). An odd move considering that it's for the Simpson's 20th anniversary which was two years ago in my book.
I just watched an entire seasons of the Simpsons in one sitting. And then I read this. I'm worried I might get turned straight by a cartoon. I would also add that there are far sexier image of Marge Simpson than the one on this cover but that would make me sound wierd.

Epic Parade

I was thinking of this movie all last week and saw the DVD in Tesco today. The best Irish movie ever made ever! I watched this so many times as a kid it was ridiculous. I think they used every non-white person in Ireland for this parade. Ireland in the 70s was lily-white.
The movie also features Ireland's favourite politican/punching bag/Eurovision winner Dana.

1. Muslim Noodle, cheap-ass and delicious food day or night.
2. Parks, old Chinese people doing everything you could imagine.
3. Taxis, cheap and the drivers are friendly and insane.
4. Fake Markets, all manner of clothes and electronics for a fraction of the cost.
5. Yanchang Lu 延长路, the street I lived on in China. Had everything you could ever need at any hour of the day.
6. Convenience store, open 24/7, sell beer 24/7 and have are operated by cheerful Chinese women. Win.
7. All-you-can-drink, free-flow booze from $5-20?!? Muse 2, Club Love, The Wall <3
8. Zhabei Park 闸北园, the park closest to my uni. A authentic Shanghai park filled with old people and real, not-too manicured greenery.
9. Metro, it goes everywhere, on time and cheaply.
10. The food. My god, the food. Every kind you can imagine at every cost. Jiaozi, baozi, doufu, la mian the list is endless.
The is lust my way of saying how much I miss China and can't wait to go back (10 months!!). China > Ireland is most ways. 'Cept that pesky censorship problem.

Modern Family
The pilot and second episode are pure comedy gold. Best new season this year? Looks like. Fucking hilarious but with just the right amount of heart; never swaying too far into melodrama or pure comedy. Ed O'Neil sacrificing his weekend to protect his setpson... *melt*.
Plus the one-liners!!!! So fucking hilarious. I can't remember I burst out laughing at a T.V. show like I just did.
